Schedule of Meetings You Should Attend
CHESTERFIELD OUTDOOR PROGRAMS ARE FACING 100% BUDGET CUTS! THE SURVIVAL OF THE DEPARTMENT DEPENDS ON YOU!
Come to the March 24 Board of Supervisors meeting, 6:30p.m. - until it ends, at the Chesterfield County Public Meeting Room, 10001 Iron Bridge Road.
The earlier people arrive the more likely they will get a seat. The supervisors may at some point ask how many people are there in support of Parks and Rec, so the larger the show of hands the better.
Of course, they might not ask that either. But the bigger the turnout, just in sheer numbers, the better. We need to have a massive group of people at the meeting to show support for these programs.
Outdoors is made up of individuals like YOU. We must show the Council and the Board
these unique programs are essential to the health of the community.
You need not be a Chesterfield County resident to voice your opinion as the programs are open to all.
Call Janice Blakley NOW, Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, at 748-1200 to sign-up if you wish to speak at the March 24 Board of Supervisors meeting.
We expect the slots to last about 2 minutes. (Sign up now and if you need to cancel, please call her back so others may speak.)
Below is a list of public meetings for each district in Chesterfield County. This will be probably the best opportunity for you to give input directly to your own supervisor on the proposed cuts in Parks,
so a good turn out at each of these is essential. If you're not sure which district you live in, you may go to:
