CHESTERFIELD OUTDOOR PROGRAMS ARE FACING 100% BUDGET CUTS! THE SURVIVAL OF THE DEPARTMENT DEPENDS ON YOU!

Email or call the Parks and Rec Advisory Council and the Board of Supervisors. Let them know Outdoors Programs cannot be eliminated. Send a letter of support if you represent an organization, including the far-reaching economic impact these programs offer the community.

We must be heard or these programs will disappear for good. If the proposed budget passes, it will not be a temporary budget cut.

* 10 summer camps will be eliminated. Half-day summer camps, only ones offered in the metro area, will cease to exist.
* The challenge course will be shut down.
* Rockwood Nature Center will be closed.
* Nature programs for preschool and school groups will no longer be available.
* All canoe and kayak instruction and programs will cease. No kayak instructions in the entire metro area.
